Neonatal Medicine (Neonatal Med) (print ISSN 2287-9412, Online ISSN 2287-9803) is an official, peer-reviewed, open access journal of The Korean Society of Neonatology, established in 1993. The first issue was published in 1994, as "Journal of The Korean Society of Neonatology (J Korean Soc Neonatol) (print ISSN 1226-1513, Online ISSN 2092- 7258)"; its Korean title was "Taehan Sinsaenga Hakhoe chi". Since then, the journal has been published without interruption in Korean and English, twice a year till 2011, and quarterly in each year from 2012 (February, May, August, and November). We have reviced the title and cover page of our journal to Neonatal Medicine (www.neo-med.org) from 2013. Neonatal Med has been distributed to members of The Korean Society of Neonatology, medical schools, medical schools, libraries, and other institutions. The publication of this journal is financed in part by The Korean Society of Neonatology. The copy right of articles published in the journal belongs to the Korean Society of Neonatology. Articles published in the journal can be obtained from the official web site of Neonatal Medicine (www.neo-med.org) and The Korean Society of Neonatology (www.neonatology.or.kr) as full text PDF files. Some, or all, of the articles in this journal are indexed in KoreaMed, KoMCI, KoreaMed Synapse, WPRIM, and Google Scholar. In 2010, Neonatal Med introduced an online submission and peer review system, replacing the previous desk-based system. Each article is provided with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
|Aims and Scope
Its aim is to serve neonatologists, through the prompt publication and the rapid dissemination of up-to-date, important information in all areas of neonatology. To achieve these goals, Neonatal Med provides readers with critically reviewed, thoughtfully selected papers, categorized as review articles, original articles, and case reports. The journal covers clinical and research works relevant to all aspects of Neonatal Medicine from members of The Korean Society of Neonatology.
